A lot of people like downloading from torrent sites because it's one of the most convenient method of downloading files. And it's also very fast. But there is a problem. A lot of torrent sites that require you to register check the upload/download ratio and if you only download and never seed the downloaded files, your account on that site could be suspended or deleted permanently. Every Internet Service Provider provides a lower speed for uploading, than downloading, so achieving a good ratio between download and upload seems like something impossible or very difficult to obtain. The interface of GreedyTorrent is very simple and features an option for multiplying the amount of downloaded data and reported as uploaded data, meaning that for every file downloaded, the uploaded traffic will be bigger. The user should be careful about exaggerating with this options because some torrent sites can check the presence of this software and, thus, can ban the user permanently for using it. That's why the user must still seed the torrents so that all of them that he downloads have a different upload value.

Besides multiplying the download traffic, the program allows multiplying the uploaded traffic, for example for every 1 MB of data uploaded, the program will report a much bigger value. The preferences tab of GreedyTorrent allows setting the listening port and the possibility to start together with Windows.

The software can be minimized into the task bar and should be left open while downloading or uploading torrents using the preferred BitTorrent client.
